Liam Payne was born in Wolverhampton on August 29th, 1993 to Karen and Geoff Payne. Liam has 2 sisters, Ruth, 20, and Nicola, 22. Liam was born with only one kidney so has to be careful about what he eats and has decided not to drink alcohol. In 2008, Liam auditioned for the X Factor at the age of 14 and made it all the way to the Judge’s houses. He was then cut, but Judge Simon Cowell told him to return in two years and audition again. Payne did exactly that and auditioned with “Cry Me A River” and received a standing ovation. At bootcamp, Liam sang “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” and was unfortunately cut. Simon and the other judges asked him and 4 other cut solo contestants, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, to return back to the stage and asked them to form a group. The boys agreed and went on to place 3rd in the competition under the name One Direction. During the competition, Liam met his current girlfriend, 23 year old dancer from London, Danielle Peazer, and the two have been dating ever since.
